<lj:music>Franz Ferdinand, because it was on the radiobox</lj:music>

We had part 1 of the IFC waterpolo tournament today (we lost to PIKE 8-11 but only because #10 kept cherry picking). Other than that it was a fair game and I had a lot fun. I'd forgotten what it felt like to push yourself past your limits, even though my limits are much lower since when I played two years ago (mainly because I haven't really been working out or anything since then). Even though it feels like you can't go on, that the sheer amount of lactic acid in you muscles is causing them to dissolve, you push yourself harder and keep swimming. And while it feels like you're dying at the time, you know the next day you're going to feel awesome, because you have been broken down and rebuilt anew, better and stronger than you were before. Unless you are a highly motivated person, I think it's a feeing you can only achieve with competetive sports. I was able to achieve the same sensation from crew during a good race, or swim in a good heat, but polo was always the ultimate, most pure form of it. We're hoping to have the second match tommorow against SAE, but not everyone can show up so we might just drop out of the tournament. Either way I'll be in the water, if not polo then surf at Trestles.

Today I also somehow motivated myself to spend all 4 hours of work this morning surveying what the career fair had to offer and prepping my resume for it. I ended up finding two booths, the Fed EPA and EDAW, a consulting/EIR preparer, where I talked to both of their representatives and left my resume with them. I don't know when I'll here back from them (or if) but I'm hoping for the EPA one, just because it offered work in NPDES and other water quality/management stuff, which is what I'm interested in.

Also, Tostones, and wtf is a Sour Orange so i can make some Mojo Sauce

ps i no longer register the fact that im at work due to sleep deprivation

I've realized these past few weeks that I'm unsure about pretty much everything in my life. I have no idea what I'm going to do for money and work, considering my degree is basically grad school 101. I have no idea what I'm going to do for grad school, because I'm lazy and procrastinate on everything, missing deadlines and lacking a fully padded resume. I don't even know where I'm living next year, except that it will be in San Diego somewhere. But one thing I know for sure is that I'm happiest when I'm with her. She is everything good i've ever found in life and words can't articulate what she means to me. I just know that whatever happens and wherever I go, I want to spend the rest of my life with her and be there for her to make sure she is always as happy as she makes me.

I love you Maria

I think the fact that I'm almost done with college is finally sinking in. I've felt hollow the past few days, an emptiness that is filled when I'm surrounded with my roomates and friends and when i talk to maria, but its always gnawing at the edges of my reality, just out of sight and it returns to keep its miserable company whenever I'm alone. My world view is somewhat Taoist and optimistic in that my one goal is to be happy and I think no matter what I do or where I end up in life it will be where I'm supposed to eventually go. But still, next year won't be the same, everyone will be scattered to different parts of the world and will have jobs or gradschool, and all the real life nonsense that we've all been spared for the past 4 years. It will be different and exciting and I'll do my best to go in the direction I want, but it still makes me sad. What worries me more is I haven't felt this way in a long while, and beyond the insisting pull of life catching up to me, I can feel the cold, void like comfort zone that I would surround myself with when I couldn't deal with things back in highschool. I'd thought i had outgrown it, the detachment, the feeling of being able to distance myself from any pain I was feeling and watch it like a spectator in my own personal arena, because I have had no need for it since sophomore year at Mira Mesa. Yet it's still there, and while 90% of me hates that cold, sterile space, the rest longs for the illusion that it provided for me. I hate feeling this way, I hate feeling down because I like being easy going and cheerful and hopefully making things better for everyone else. I know that this is just a temporary state, and that in time It'll pass and I'll be back to my usual self, but right now its just kinda lame.

- You have only one life, so don't waste it living for other people

Friday:
Worked from 6-10am after closing the night before and then had an incredible session at Trestles with Joe. We got in the water at about 1230 and had "Middles" pretty much all to ourselves for the first couple hours until the after school crowd showed up, but even then we were still getting plenty of waves. It was about chest to head high, with a little bit of wind and a super low tide that made the rock hop out suck even with wearing booties but made the waves themselves steep enough to be fun. Joe's new nickname is the Defuser because he was caught the 3 biggest waves of the day super late and made all of them. I managed a couple of good hits on mine and Joe said I got a lot of spray on them so that was cool, and I think my backside drops are getting a lot better. Later I dropped Joe off and picked David up from the Amtrack station with the VDC peeps and we all went to Costco and then I caught up on all my missed sleep from the past day.

Saturday:
Yau showed up and we all played some doubles in tennis where I was doing good until I almost snapped my ankle off. It still kinda hurts but is getting better. We went to D&B after eating a ridiculous amount of food at Claim Jumper. Apparently they do not have Happy Hour on saturdays, which as a dissapointment because I was looking forward to good cheap booze but we got to play a lot of videogames so it was all good. I want the surfing one for myself, even though it cheats.

Sunday:
Lazy Lazy Lazy

High today with Alex and it was good times as always, Alex went really big on the jumps on Lower Chisom and we both lamented the loss/conversion of the jumps on Upper (him for the jumps me for the banks). I had some good rail slides off of the jumps on Lower, and did my first consistent airs today (hey as long as there is space between the board and the snow it counts as air). We are planning on going next week with Henry and I'm hoping to keep improving and maybe try the little jumps on Creekside. We ate a Macca's as is tradition, and now I am going to throw all my snow stuff into a pile, shower, and go to sleep.

- Warren Miller says, "you can't get hurt in the air"

Day 13:

Had THE BEST SESSION OF THE TRIP today at Bamburas!! Insane lefts coming in at around 5-8ft faces with a couple 9 foot bombs blasting through. I took off on one and managed to pull into the barrel, it was so cool seeing the lip fold over...but then I got spooked and pulled out the back :P It was OK though cause a guy that was paddling out saw me pull in and cheered for me so I still felt pretty cool. I also took off on a set wave bomb, where I raced the massive wall for a second or two before flying over the back and catching the most air i've ever caught, although it was sans board. I was going so fast that the board was actually vibrating on my bottom turn, but it was still a lot of fun. We ate at a japanese buffet place that was about to close in about 15 min, so we ordered an hours worth of food in that time and took our time eating it. After Alex and I went the Wakiki Aquarium where we saw giant clams and seadragons, and I found a stuffed octopus i wanted to buy. Jo wanted to surf and fish some more, so we walked up The Strip to the Local Motion store and bought some TShirts. We also found a Japanese Urban Outfitters called 88 Tees, where I found a sweet terrycloth tank top that I am seriously considering buying. We ate at the BK Lounge for dinner and then watched TV at Mike's till sleepytime.

Checked the surf at Publics, saw it was good and paddled out into the crowd. Caught about two waves, but both were really fun, and only tapped the reef with my foot once. Jo stayed to surf so alex and I got McDonalds and watched the Volleyball Finals while we waited for Jo to come in. Went back to Mikes and watched Kill Bill vol. 2.

Day 12:

Stayed at Mike's till about 11, then headed out to surf at Bomburas cause the swell finally filled in. Surf was amazing, not too crowded with light wind and about 5-7ft really fun lefts coming in. I got a lot of good rides and even threw my fins out on one, but I didn't land it. I also had my sandals stolen (again) and found a dead turtle buried in their place. I reburied the turtle, and got some new sandals at WalMart. We had overpriced and somewhat flavorless-broth Pho for dinner, and then went back to walmart for some strawberry mochi. Back to mikes to watch him play some Lego Star Wars 2 and then sleep!!
Holy shit! what a day.

Well today woke up around 11 am. We had to goto walmart because i was stupid and lost the mouthpiece of my snorkel. After that jo, alex, mike, and i went to likelike cafe. I got the chicken curry it was fucking deeeelicious. We have been itching to go golfing and today was that day. Except when we got to the place it they wouldn't let us all use 1 set of clubs and i didn't have any shoes. So alex had the bright idea of just going to the driving range. I must say i don't think golf is my sport. Luckily some guy helped me on my swing and i did alot better. We had a bunch of contests and alex won most of them. But i wouldn't expect anything else.

After that we went to sandy's. We all grabbed our fins and hit the beach. The waves were fun. I caught some good ones and jo tried catching a set wave and ended up losing BOTH of his fins. After he 3600 man hours spent looking for them we didn't see any trace of them. They were pronounced lost.

On our way home i took a wrong turn and took at 20 min detour. I was suppose to go straight but instead i made a left onto the likelike. Since it was a freeway i couldn't make a u-turn anywhere. Which is why alex and jo call me "loops" since i like to make driving loops.

We went to food land, i cooked shrimp, i cooked shrimp, jo burnt some oysters, and a bunch of other stuff

tomorrow dawn patrol!

Headed back to Haliewa and Pipe on North Shore again, where we went snorkeling at the Shark Cove Marine Sanctuary (which is aptly misnamed, as there are no actual sharks). We saw hundreds of fish, much more than the other places we had been snorkeling before. While the water wasn't as clear as I had hoped, we got a lot of pictures before we decided to leave back to Kaneohe.
Day 5:

Surf was on its way down so we headed to the Wal Mart in Wakiki and picked up a few snorkel sets and a sweet blue spear gun, which is the most fun for 15$ i've had in awhile. Technically its not a real spear gun, as theres no loading mechanism, but its still pretty fun. We headed to the Westside of Oahu because Jo told us there was good snorkeling and fishing over at the Ko Oloni resort, but when we arrived the resort was full and we were turned away and told to check back in 30 min. Rather than wait, we headed further west, opting out of going all the way to Waniae and instead going to a small beach park by the side of the road. The reef wasn't exactly teeming, but there was more than enough sea life to keep us entertained. Huge black urchins, the hawaii state fish, and others swam throughout the rocks. I got the first hit with the spear, but I only stunned the fish and it ended up swimming away, which was good because it was the state fish and technically you're not supposed to kill those. Jo got first blood when he speared a small puffer, but since you can't eat those without severe physical and neurological damage, he threw it back.

After we headed back into town and rented a couple of longboards at Wakiki. The boards weighed about 60 pounds each, but were way fun to paddle around on and you barely had to do anything to catch the waves. The boards practically surfed themselves once you figured out how to turn them, and it was nice just to glide and enjoy the ride in the bays mellow surf rather than having to constantly think about how to get around the next section or how you were going to make the next turn.

We went to Bubba Gump Shrimp in the AloMo Mall for dinner, and it was damn good although I kept trying to remember all the parts of Forest Gump because they kept playing it all through the resturaunt. We all got amusing nicknames on the ride home, mine being either "Loops" or "500 pound bench press" while Alex is now "Nostrils" and Jo is "Diapers". Played way to much Guitar Hero, so much that I may have to buy it once i return to CA when we got back to Mike's, then fell asleep.

Day 6:

Northshore!! Left Kaneohe around 9am and got to Kahuku about 10am where we stopped at a Foodland/Subway and got lunch (ahi is super cheap here and the smoked marlin is inexpensive and delicious). Stopped at the surfshop where I got my Lightning Bolt shirt, but the didn't have anymore and I left with what I came in with. Checked out Pipe, which actually had a few chest high waves coming through, and Sunset was the same with a crazy right bowl and backwash closeout. Spent the afternoon at Wamiea snorkeling and attempting to catch a fish, but the only thing we caught was the sight of a sea turtle that Jo actually got to pet.

Went shopping in Haliewa and ate a delicious dinner at the Grass Skirt Grill, where pulled BBQ pork is always a good choice. Drove home by the Dole Plantation, which was closed due to it being after 6 when apparently the entire North half of the island shuts down. We headed into town so that we could all do some more shopping at the International Market and so Alex could see Wakiki at night. The IM is a crazy, crowded place that has something I'm allergic to in it, but I don't know what. All I know is that it makes my hands really really itchy. Wakiki also has some of the coolest and wierdest people out at night, from roving packs of Japanese tourists to those people that dress up like robots and dance for money. There was also a dude with a prosthetic leg with what looked a bullet hole in it, in full hospital garb in a hospital wheelchair just kinda makin his way down the strip, no attendants whatsovere. But thats just Town for you. Myself, I prefer Country.

Hawaii Trip 06 Day 3 and 4

Day 3:

Surfed Bomburas in the late morning, where the waves were fun but suprisingly crowded. A pack of bodyboarders kept sitting on all the peaks, so I didn't catch as many waves as the day before, and the surf was a bit smaller, but still enjoyable. Jo sat in towards the jetty and took pictures of Alex and I, but I think I only got one good picture (we will see once they are all developed).

We ate at the AlaMo mall and I had some overpriced but tasty springrolls, while Alex got Curry House and Jo got Panda Xpress again. We were going to go back to Mike's place and chill, but Jo wanted to surf some more and tricked me into taking us to Sandy's where the surf was terrible but the shorebreak was fun to watch, mainly because of all the insane people trying to get a split second barrel before having the ocean completely anihilate them. We kept rooting for this very large, very red man who was obviously a tourist to try and take off on a shorebreak set wave, but we waited in vain.

After a contentious struggle, we dropped Jo off at Secrets and told him we would pick him up later (Alex and I were too tired and sunburned to surf anymore) and I had the great idea of heading into Town....where I then had THE WORST DRIVING EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE EVER. EVER. First off, HI has horrible street/city design, as they put the signs for where you need to go at the actual place you need to be, so by the time you see it you're already past it. Also, for reasons beyond all logical comprehension, they weren't letting people turn left off of the street I needed to turn off of, and all the places I needed to get to were blocked. I ended up running a red light I didnt' realize was red until halfway through the intersection and that about did it for me. After finally making our way to our goal of the Wakiki main street (which had been shut down to only two lanes with cops everywhere in a further attempt by the Lord of Traffic to punish me) we made our way back out east to Kawaihai and McDonalds, where we dined and waited till it was time to pick up Jo.

Day 4:

Woke up rather late and headed into Town to surf again since the swell was dropping. We tried to use the surf guide I bought but to no avail, as we ended up at my least favorite spot in all of Oahu, Gilligans. The paddle out might as well have been a 3 hour tour, and the waves were about as fun as being stuck on an island for 12 seasons with people who keep sinking your boats and trying to make coconut phones. Overall the surf was bust, but it was still fun to be out in the water with Alex and Jo, who managed to get some of the rights that were coming through. Due to the somewhat shallow reef, I was disincled to attempt any backside pigdogging, helped by the fact that most of the waves were closing out. We took a long time coming back in, trying new ways of paddling and being lazy about getting back to shore. I also saw the biggest Sea Turtle i've ever seen in my entire life. It was literally the size of a small recliner, or possiblly a really small minicooper. It was a big turtle.

We headed back to Mike's taking the long way around the eastside of the island and driving by the marine research center, Bellows beach, and shady looking part of pacific suburbia, reaching Kaneohe after about 40 min. Hawaii does indeed have some stunning coastline. For dinner we ended going to Jack in the Box with Mike cause we were all too tired to head into Town as planned, but we're going to make another attempt tommorow night.

Hawaii06 - Day 1 and 2

Day 1:

We spent Day 0 packing and prepping, and spent the night at Jo's house where we got about 3 hours of sleep before having to head off to LAX at 430 in the morning (we stayed up late packing and watching the new Mick Fanning surf DVD that came in the newest issue of Surfer). We got to LAX pleasingly fast and lucked out with the check in clerk because he only charged 75$ to ship our boards, whereas he could have charged 200$. I fell asleep during takeoff, woke up somewhere over the Pacific and played Link to the Past on the GBA till we landed at HNL International Airport.

Also, we may be on TV because they happened to be filming a show for the Travel chanel where the kids get to run the vacation, which I think is a terrible idea. I think the person who pays the money for the trip should be choosing what gets done, although I'm pretty sure that the TV network paid for everything in this case. We were supposed to sign one of those release waivers that makes it so they don't have to blur out your face, but we never did. The show airs Sep. 14, so if anyone sees me on the telly, holla back.

Once landed, we picked up the rental car (a decent Nissan Sentra, black, with enough room to cram 3 suitcases, 4 boards, and 3 adults into, although somewhat tightly) and proceeded to meet Jo's friend for lunch at the Ala Mo mall. We then surfed at Secrets, which is misnamed because there were about 15 other people out there. The waves were really fun though, fast rights with a rippable face, but alas no lefts no matter how hard I looked. I did a really hard hack on one of the rights, and Jo and Alex both said it was the most spray I'd ever thrown, which make me feel a bit like Occy so I was feeling pretty good.

We ate dinner at Maccas while waiting for Mike to arrive home so we could get into his place. We showed up around 830, napped for half an hour in the car while the rain proceeded to worsen, unloaded when Mike appeared and moved all of our stuff into his place. His place is pretty sweet, he only has one other roomate who is gone most of the time (she, uh, works in a "dancing" establishment at night) and Bobby the Cat, who is like a furry ninja in that it jumps everwhere and appears to have an aversion to touching the floor. Also, it likes to sleep inconviently on my lap, the keyboard, and random objects about the apartment. I lucked out and got to stay on the couch that night, whilst Jo and Alex got to spoon in the guest crashpad area.

Day 2:

Woke up about 730 and headed into town to find a place to eat and surf. Ended up again at Maccas for breakfast, where the Local Deluxe ended up being a bad choice later in the water, as physical activity seems to disagree with portuguese sausage, egg, spam, and rice. We surfed some really fun lefts at Bomburas, just outside the Magic Island jetty. They were slow and rolly, with not much slope to the face, but they were a good sized shoulder to just overhead high, with a couple of bombs coming through every now and then. We sat wide of the main peak because of the crowd, but still got a lot of fun ones. I missed the wave of the day (which Alex would have also gotten a picture of) because I was out of position and didn't paddle hard enough, but made it up with a sweet right where I hit the lip hard and had to bail or otherwise airdrop onto a guy that was paddling out. Getting back into the lagoon was hard due to the current between the jetties, but a solid minute of paddling earned me clam water and the chance to snap some pictures of Alex and Jo trying to do the same.

We ate lunch at Southshore Grill, near Diamond Head which used to be Teddy's Burgers according to Jo and also where Mike used to work according to Mike. Grilled fish tacos were delicious and the garlic fries stayed with me well into the lineup of Secrets, where we made our second surf assualt of the day...after taking an hour long nap in the car in the parking lot in front of Secrets. Napping in the car totally sucks btw, for anyone who has never napped in a car, I don't reccomend it. Unless you have some kind of special car made for napping. In that case, go crazy with it.

Surf was even bigger at Secrets that the day before, but the form wasn't as nice. I had 3 insane lefts, one of which I took of blind on due to the wind spray from the breaking lip and barely made it out from under the lip when I tried to beat the section. In retrospect I should have just tried to pull into the barrel and taken my punishment like a true waterman, but oh well. I was undergunned and underballed to sit on the main peak, which was setting off some huge bombs, easily two feet overhead with a race track initial set up. Alex and I went in before Jo, who stayed out another 20 minutes or so, looking for rights of his own. There was also a dude living in a lien-to on the shore...but he didn't look like a surfer or bum, more like a lost foreign exchange student. Maybe student housing is really expensive in hawaii?

Dinner consisted of Costco fare and shopping for sustance within the monolithic warehouse to hold me over the rest of the week. My masterplan is to survive soley on Oatmeal, water, and Cliff bars with the exception of dinner, which I will buy or cook. We went back to Mike's after the food, where we watched Labyrinth (which made me miss my girlfriend like crazy, cause that is pretty much our movie, although no way will i ever be able to top David Bowie...then again, even Chuck Norris can't top David Bowie). Now it is time for sleep, and more surf surf surf tommorow, as well as an excursion to Sandy Beach with MikeyT and maybe dinner somewhere in Town??

If they gave degrees in procrastinating, I'd prolly have whatever is above a PhD by now. I've so far put off checking out any sort of relevant grad school information, internships for the field study I have to do next year, finding a better job than the one I'll go back to in fall, and getting the letters of reccomendation that I'll need for aforementioned gradschooling. All things aside, I've been having a really good time with Maria and the weather hasn't been too hot.

Today we went swimming at Lea's house with the rest of Maria's family, which was good times. Her nephew is way too cute and can swim pretty well on his own now. It made me consider getting a WSI certification and teaching kids how to swim and love the water as a job. I figure it would be a good fall back job in the event that my degree really is just a nice piece of paper with some pretty writting on it. I ate a lot of chicken during the pool adventure, as well as some food from Tropical Star which was also good times. I feel like I need to get some kind of article I can wear to remind me to eat healthy and make good food choices, but the solution to this dilema eludes me as of yet. Best option has been some kind of wristband or pendant with a symbol that connotes health or some such thing, but alas.

I also helped my mom with a lot of stuff around the house the past two weeks, so that was some bonus points for me in both the karma and parent meters. Double bonus points kick ass!

I signed up for Gamefly.com, and boy does it take me back to when I was 10 and videogames were life. I had forgotten how much I loved console gaming and why I never got into CS and all the other comp stuff my friends have played. I forsee this service being somewhat of a problem come this next school year...although its not like my classes are hard and I'll be done with all the Major ones by Fall quarter. So far Maria and I have nearly finished the Prince of Persia Trilogy and I am hoping we can get through Lego Star Wars before she has to go back to school [ :( ].

The surf has been crappy all this past week (read: Flat) and is supposed to continue this depressing trend until mid next week. We are going up to Irvine Mon-Tue for Katty's bday party where Alex "The Nostrils" Chang may or may not join us.

Snakes. On. A. Plane.

My feet and ears hurt like whoah but O man I had a lot of fun. Wolfmother fucking rocks, and I found out I can totally hold my own in a mosh pit...but that's just cause im the Juggernaut (biatch). My fingers are tired from throwing up the horns all day, and my I can't remember my legs because if I do i'll pass out from the pain. I also got to sing to Sorrow and Infected during the Bad Religion set, which was good cause now I can totally cross that off of my list of things to do before I die list. I totally have one of those. Looking forward to Yeah3x tommorow, WIG, and a few others and getting to see them all with my girl :) I got a lot of cool pictures of the shows and the crowds, and hopefully can post em somewheres later. The lead singer of She Wants Revenge (also incredibly good) looks like the love child of Kip from Napoleon Dynamite and Keanu Reeves.

Only bad things about today were no Lupe Fiasco (he was supposedly in some kind of car accident and couldn't perform) and that the problem I had thought i cleverly solved with my new car isn't actually solved and my sweet little hybrid that I love so much is being a bad bad car. But imma take it into the car store on Monday and have them look at it, and it's all under warranty and will be free. If for some reason its not, massive cutting will ensue. I'll put that dealership in a box!

Time for sleep, then hopefully some surfing tommorow morning and then Street Scene Part Deux

I really do need to update more frequently, as this sporadic business prompts me to do either short, unarticulated entries or extremely long winded ones where I try to overly compress everything. Anyway, here are the haps:

Saw Superman Returns last night with the two Kevs, and overall I thought it was very good. Mr. Syngar is the Midas of the comic-to-movie industry, although without the whole gift into curse and moral part. I was so sad he didn't do X3. Special effects were incredible, Kevin Spacey plays Luther very well (the traditional movie version of Luther, not the Animated Series one, which I actually prefer just cause I grew up watcing it. Which is also why I thought Luther had dark skin, cause in the tv show he does). Pretty good twist later on in the plot, but I guessed it about a quarter of the way through but I'll refrain from putting any spoilers in my post. Just go see it, its a good movie and will indeed make you believe a man can fly.

My Tuesdays and Thursdays are really packed cause I'm in class from 9am-12pm then 1pm-4pm (beh Summer Session 1) and then I work from 5pm-10pm at the ARC. Wednesdays are not so bad except for work in the morning, but in a way it's good because getting up that early makes it so I can accomplish a lot of the errands I need to do. I'm also taking Yoga on Wednesday nights, and OMG is it hard. I'd done a few yoga stretches out of a few surf and exercise books I have, but doing an entire series with the right breath motions is ridiculous. It made me feel incredibly relaxed and also like someone hit me with a baseball bat all over my body, all at the same time. I look forward to the next class next week.

Having school and work during summer sucks, but I need the credits to graduate on time and the money so I'm not flat ass broke. The silver lining of it is it makes me appreciate going down to SD more because I get to see Maria and go surf with Alex. Speaking of surf, it would be awesome if the Southern Pacific would just send like a solid head high swell to SD that lasted like 3 weeks. Yah, you should prolly get on that SP.

Maria and I made Paella a few days ago, and it was like having a party in your mouth where only cool hot people were invited and then everyone has a giant orgy and eats champagne and chocolate pudding afterwards. We are going to make it again for her dad's bday party this saturday, and I expect it to be just as tasty.

I think that is it for now, because I should prolly be paying attention to the class I'm in, considering I want to get a letter of rec from this prof and all.

Ah how I love California in the summer...not that it's ever not summer here. The surf, the sun, the lazy afternoons and accompanying lunches, the exciting nights and then doing it all over again the next day. I've thought about it and my perfect life actually would not be that hard to achieve because all I need is what makes my summers perfect: maria, friends, surfing, food, and video games. I could ideally spend the rest of my days surfing in the mornings to the afternoon, then eating mexican food, and then hanging out with my peeps and my girl and playing games or watching movies till I get sleepy and be perfectly happy. I figure I should somehow begin implementing this design...

Went to HB this morning with the Amazing EricLu, who I thought drowned halfway through our session but really he just drifted down the beach. The waves were fun looking, except due to the ridiculous North Current we never really got out to them so we just kind of paddled around a bit, rode some whitewash slop and then sat on the beach. Overall, good times.

Work tonight, then a fun weekend down in SD to relax and enjoy before I have to start studying for Finals.
